Our Services:
Franklin County offers "Fixed Route with Route Deviation" and "Demand Response" services.
Fixed Route service is a bus service that travels along a route with identified stops and associated times and according to a weekly schedule.
Route Deviation is a deviated service off a Fixed Route to accommodate any rider wishing to avail themselves of the service. Franklin County Public Transportation will deviate up to 3/4 of a mile off route to pick up those individuals who cannot get to a fixed stop.
Demand Response is a service that operates under a zone and provides curb to curb service to outlying areas of the county. Reservations must be made no later than the end of regular business hours of the day before the ride is needed.
Commuter bus service means fixed route bus service, predominantly in one direction during peak periods, limited stops, use of multi-ride tickets, and routes of extended length.
As Needed Service is a stop that is scheduled into the run, but will not always go to that location if nobody requires it. The bus will stop at these locations with a 24 hour advance notice by calling Dispatch.
Accessibility Information:
All buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts. Lifts have either 750 lbs. or 1000 lbs. weight limits so please discuss need when you call to set up a ride. Reasonable modifications may be requested by disabled persons. It is suggested you speak with Dispatch ahead of time about this so the driver can be made aware
