A Lake Placid tradition since 2006, the Lake Placid Marathon and Half normally hosts runners from over 40 states and 5 countries on the roads in and around town. Come cheer athletes striving for their best. Since 2017, there have been donations to local charities including the Joshua Fund, Lake Placid Educational Opportunity Fund, Jay/Wilmington Food Shelf, Tri Lakes Humane Society, Lake Placid Backpack Program and many more.
